Activities
What will your child be doing?
I strive to nurture a child's love for learning, whether it's an infant grasping for a toy, or a kindergartner performing a science experiment. Activities encourage exploration, problem solving and discovery, providing the skills needed for school and beyond.
I have listed just a few things your child could be doing throughout the day.
For example:
* Music: I like to play children's music such as nursery rhimes while the children play or do activities.
* Art: I strive to have the children think creative, so I offer different projects to let them think for themselves. Such projects can include coloring, paper mache, paper figurines, along with others to let the kids have fun.
* Blocks: I like to give the children blocks to play with to build and use their imagination and create a work of art or something to knock over. (that's more fun)
* Outdoor Play: I prefer to let the chidren out of the house as much as possible to let them run, jump, and be kids. We go outside 2-3 times a day, weather permitting, to keep the kids active and to break up the different activities.
* Story Time: After lunch, I like to read a story to the kids to give them a chance to calm down and relax a little before nap time.
* Snacks: I do offer a hot breakfast and lunch as well as 2 healthy snacks such as seasonal fruits, yogurts, ect.
